The single Rock Cut Architecture Buddhist Karla Caves depict artistic embellishment of Buddhism prevailing from 2nd BCE to 7th CE. The Chaityagriha at Karla is the biggest of its type in the whole of India excavated ever. In this picture is the largest Single Rock Cut Stupa carved ever in Buddhist History. Chaityagriha also has beautifully carved Pillars on the sides with deities perched on the top as well as arched wooden rafters on the roof to act as sound mufflers to prevent echo during teachings by the Guru seating on the platform top of the Stupa in these caves.
