Jesus is stripped of his garments at this Station. The mission was built in 1730 by the Jesuit missionary Father Nicholas Tarmaral and the Spanish appointed official Jose Echeverria. The mission was dedicated to Saint Joseph, and was built on the site that the native pericues called Anuiti.
