| This aircraft engine is frm a C54 Skytrain. The Aircraft is part of the Berlin Air Bridge (Luftbrücke). This particular monument is at the former USAAF Air Base Rhein Main, in Frankfurt Germany. This Aircraft was called Rosinen Bomber or Raisin Bomber. The airbridge was the biggest in history. It had to be implemented because the Soviet Union sealed off Berlin. |
