The Burggrafenburg was an originally self-sufficient castle area, which today is located in the eastern part of the Nuremberg Castle. It is the oldest part of the Salian Nuremberg Castle. Until the middle of the 13th century, the castle complex had formed the administrative seat of the Nuremberg Burggraviate, but was then replaced in this function by the Cadolzburg. June 25, 2023
