The Orthodox Cathedral of Alba Iulia is also known as the Coronation Cathedral or The People`s Salvation Cathedral. Its construction lasted less than a year. The foundation stone was laid on March 28, 1921, on the second day of Easter. Over time, several important events took place here, such as the Coronation of Kings Ferdinand and Mary in 1922 or the first canonizations of some Romanian saints who fought for the preservation of the ancestral faith.
