| Bandung Japanese Cave is one of the caves located in the Forest Park area of Ir.H. Juanda, North Bandung. This Japanese cave was made in 1942 by the Japanese occupation forces with the help of romusha forced laborers. The Japanese cave was never completed and reportedly has not been renovated since. Bandung Japanese Cave is one of the historic caves scattered throughout the country that were created during World War II, and have been a part of the long history of this republic. Aside from being a place of refuge and hiding, caves are also often used as a place to store logistics for food, weapons and ammunition. |
