Pictured is the Arthur Capper limestone sculpture by Peter 'Fritts' Felten on the second floor of the rotunda of the Kansas State Capitol building in Topeka. the sculpture is flanked on the left by the Commerce mural and right by the Well Diggning mural, both by Lumen Martin Winter in 1978l Capper was a publisher, governor, and senator. He was born in 1865 and died in 1951. The 2000 pound sculpture was installed in 1981. The sculpture is one of four monumental statues by Felten in the rotunda. His subjects are four famous Kansans, Dwight David Eisenhower, Amelia Earhart, William Allen White, and Arthur Capper.
