Alan Ryan attends the Demjanjuk trial at Binyenai Ha`ouma in Jerusalem, Israel on August 3, 1987. Ryan was the chief US Government prosecutor responsible for the deportation of John Demjanjuk. Demjanjuk was found guilty of atrocities commited as a guard in a concentration camp, but was later released when it was learned that the real `Ivan the Terrible` had died years before the trial. In 2019 Netflix unveiled a multi-part documentary series on the trial, making extensive use of archival footage.
