Saxifraga aizoides, yellow mountain saxifrage or yellow saxifrage, is a flowering herb and alpine plant of the genus Saxifraga.Bright yellow starry flowers open in early spring on low creeping cushions of tiny leaves. Very slow growing and ideal for a shady rockery, this plant is native to the highest mountains in the UK, and also North America, Alaska, Greenland and Europe, the Tatras, and the Alps. |
