| The church of Secu monastery. In 1602, Nestor Ureche, the famous chronicler Grigore Urecheââ¬â¢s father, built Secu monastery, whose decorations remind us about the Wallachian architectonic style (southern side of Romania). In 1821 the monastery was set on fire by the Ottomans. Between 1821 -1825 followed a period of restorations. |
