Rakkestad Airport, Åstorp is an airport located on the farm Åstorp approx. 4 km (by road) south of downtown Rakkestad Rakkestad municipality in Østfold. The airport's history dates back to 1969 when Norrønafly A / S moved the workshop business from Fornebu to Åstorp Gaard in Rakkestad and built a 600 meter-long runway to accommodate aircraft for overhaul. Runway was eventually paved and expanded. The 28 December 1998 approved the Civil Aviation Administration airport as a private airport, and gave the ICAO and IATA code. The airport is home to fast Rakkestad Flying Club and is used by private and business aviation to the Norrøna Airline workshop for overhaul and inspection.
