A large part of the inhabitants, men and women, from the slum Banjado Sur live and work every day on the landfill, which is located in their residential area. Unemployment in Paraguay is large and because of this type of recycling, useful material can be collected from the garbage, these people can acquire income. The work is unhealthy and inhuman and is a form of fighting their poverty. |
