Bergen is the second biggest city in Norway and in the 13th century was the norwegian capital. The town is located on Byfjorden and its centre is surrounded by seven mountains. Bryggen or Tyskebryggen as in The German Wharf is a series of secular commercial buildings that, since 1979, belongs to UNESCO list of World Cultural Heritage sites.
