The ceremony took place on June 23, 2012, in the Texas Spirit Theater, part of the Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin. Annually, more than 700. 000 immigrants from foreign countries become US citizens. Leading countries of origin for new Americans are Mexico, India, the Philippines, China and Colombia.
