As the spiritual abode of the Troyan Monastery is the third largest in Bulgaria, and a remarkable cultural monument of national importance. It is located in the picturesque valley of the river Cherni Osam 100 km from the town of Troyan. According to historical data monastery on this place it was originally founded in 1600 and renewed in its present form in 1830-1865, respectively. By its architectural style, he ranked among the schools of the Renaissance period. |
