OMO VALLEY, ETHIOPIA - October, 2018, A Dassanech child in traditional clothing and jewelry in Omo National Park, Ethiopia. The photo is part of the album`Ethiopian tribes expedition`2018.The Dassanech tribe lives just north of Lake Turkana. Their neighboring tribe is the Kenyan Turkana people. The Daasanech are pastoralists cattle herders, but due to the harsh territory, they have moved south to grow crops and fish. Cattle are used by the tribesman for meat, milk and clothing. Often their cattle die from disease and drought. This is the most southerly of the tribes who live in Ethiopia’s Omo Valley only 28km from the Kenya border. They live in small huts made from sticks, corrugated iron & animal hide. The men and a few of the women carry around guns for protection against hyenas at night.
