The Gautrain - High Speed Commuter Rail. Operating both as an underground and above ground railway system, in the various sections of the routes traveled by this particular commuter system. Aimed primarily at travelers who are inbound, or outbound, from the O.R. Tambo International airprot, in Gauteng, Johannesburg, South Africa. The first part of the system, between Sandton and OR Tambo Airport, opened to the public on 8 June 2010, in time for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The balance is work in progress and is said to be completed in 2011.
