The Mosteiro dos Jeronimos in Belem, part of Lisbon, and the adjoined church is possibly the most extravagant religious building within Portugal. It demonstrates the wealth that poured into Lisbon from the colonies as part of Portugalââ¬â¢s golden era. This sculpture group is located above the entrance of the church.
