Efo riro is a nutritious vegetable soup made from green leafy vegetables such as spinach and condiments. The condiments may include tomatoes, paprika, peppers, ginger, onion. The condiments are blended and fried in palm oil. The goat meat is either pre-boiled or fried with spices ans salted to taste. The goat meat and vegetables are subsequently added to the fried condiments. Efo riro is a favorite of the people of South Western Nigeria the Yoruba nation but now has national and international appeal. It is usually eaten with a preferable carbohydrate such as amala, eba, garri, semolina, iyan etc.
