Zebras are odd-toed ungulates of the Equidae family native to eastern, southern and southwestern Africa. They have white and black stripes that come in unique, different patterns as well as erect, mohawk-like manes. They are generally social animals and can be seen in small harems to large herds and are found in grasslands, savannas, woodlands, thorny scrublands, mountains and coastal hills.
