Aksaray or Ak-Saray (white palace) is the grand residence of Timur in his hometown Shakhrisabz. Its construction began in 1380. Restoration work on the preserved parts of the palace were carried out in the years of independence of Uzbekistan (in the end of the XX - the beginning of the XXI century).
