Sunset over Kariba Lake, the longest artificial lake in the world. It is really a reservoir, generated by building the Kariba dam on the Zambezi River between 1955 and 1959. It has a perimeter of 604 km and a maximum of 280km long by 40km wide. The Zambezi river is one of the great African rivers that, in this section, makes of border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Nearly 60 years later, still remains the trees of the habitat of numerous wild species, which were moved to the south bank in Zimbabwe. It was called Operation Noah. That area is now the Matusadona National Park. The sun shines on the horizon and reflects on the water of the lake. The sphere is embedded between the two branches of a dead tree.
