The building shown in the image is Punakha Dzong, located in Bhutan.Punakha Dzong is a historic and significant fortified monastery in Bhutan.It is situated at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers in the Punakha-Wangdue valley.The dzong was built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, who unified Bhutan.It served as the former capital of Bhutan and is the second oldest and second largest dzong in the country.Punakha Dzong is also known for being the winter residence for the chief abbot of the Zhung Dratshang, the central monastic body of Bhutan.
