The mosque was built by Ali Pasha Kalauz , who had the title of beglerbeg at the imperial court . He grazed in Buda in 1578 . in Bosnia in 1584 . He was later appointed vizier and invited to Constantinople , and married Sokolović's widow Ismihan Sultana. When she died, he was appointed for the second time in Buda , where he died in 1586 . His mosque is popularly known as Kursumlija , because it is covered with lead. It is located in the center of old Maglaj, which has preserved its eastern features to this day. As Ćiro Truhelka writes : ... every big city could be proud of.
