This is the office building of the Taipei City Criminal Department. It is one of the prison buildings in the Qing Dynasty. It once imprisoned anti-Japanese people and political victims in the 1950s. It is an important site for historical events in prison management in Taiwan. In March 2013, civil society groups initiated discussions on the protection of cultural assets and ancient trees. In March 1998, the Taipei City Cultural Affairs Bureau designated the wall next to the telecommunications office on Jinshan South Road in the north as a municipal historic site, the Taipei Prison Wall Remains, and subsequently re-registered the south prison wall as a municipal monument. - Designated monument. The monument, more than 20 Japanese-style official buildings, bathhouses, etc. are all historical buildings.
