| Legendary Israeli singer, songwriter, composer, and television personality Svika Pick performs at the Karmiel Dance Festival in Israel in 1989. Described by some as a revolutionary artist, he collaborated with lyricist Yoav Ginai to write the catchy song `Diva,` performed by Dana International to such acclaim that it won the 1998 Eurovision Song Contest. One of his daughters, Daniella, a model and actress, married American filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, and they spend part of each year in Tel Aviv. Pick shot to fame by playing the lead role in the Israeli version of the rock musical, `Hair.` He was born in Poland and came to Israel with his family as a small child. He died in Israel on August 14, 2022, at the age of 72. |
