The palace of Xerxes in Persepolis, called HadiÃ
¡ in Persian, dwelling place. A terrace connected the two royal mansions. Today, the palace of Xerxes is heavily damadged to compare the other archaeological monuments. The main room with 36 columns was surrounded by six smaller rooms, 3 on the east and 3 on the west side. On the north side there was a portico, facing the Apadana. |
