Women`s March on Washington, January 21, 2017: A record number of demonstrators descended on the nation`s capital to rally against the recently-inaugurated President of the United States, Donald Trump. This worldwide, grassroots movement was a series of political rallies organized for women`s rights as well as a myriad of other causes threatened by President Donald Trump`s rhetoric. It is about 9:30AM, about a half an hour before the start of the rally. This photo was taken near the National Museum of the American Indian, near the intersection of Jefferson Drive SW and 4th Street SW. Although still early in the day, what would end up to be a historic crowd grows as people arrive for the event.
