| Quaint Delfshaven (it survived the war) was once the official seaport for the dutch city of Delft. A reconstructed 18th-century windmill the Distilleerketel (in the centre) overlooks the water at Voorhaven. The picture is taken from a cruiser sailing over the river Nieuwe Maas in Rotterdam, the second-largest city in the Netherlands and one of the largest ports in the world. The river Nieuwe Maas is flowing through the port area to the Northsea. At the left the tower of the Pelgrimvaderskerk. |
