| When most people go to a park, any park anywhere, they go and look at the trees, maybe the grass if they want a place to relax on. They generally do not go to look at the mushrooms, unless they are a dedicated mushroom hunters, or foragers. Golden Gate Park is no exception to this either, as plenty of wild mushrooms are found here, too. And, as experienced local mushroom foragers can tell you, you can find some very good, healthy mushrooms in Golden Gate Park. As a word of caution, this is one type of foraging that you deffinetly should never do the first time with only a field guide. |
