The White Swan Hotel is located at No.1 Shamian South Street, Liwan District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. In 1979, Guangdong Provincial Tourism Administration and Huo Yingdong's Weichang Development Co., Ltd. jointly invested in the construction of the hotel. The hotel is named because it is located near the White Goose Pond of the the Pearl River. Opened on February 6, 1983, it covers an area of over 30000 square meters with a building area of 110000 square meters. The building is 28 stories high and has 843 guest rooms and 30 restaurants of all sizes. From the guest room, you can enjoy the city of Guangzhou and the beautiful scenery of the Pearl River. In 1985, it was accepted as the first member of the world-class hotel organization in China. In 1996, it was ranked first in the National Tourism Administration's first selection of the Top 100 and 50 Best Hotels in China. In 2003, the Sino foreign cooperation period expired, and the assets belonged to the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, with the Guangdong Provincial State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission fulfilling the responsibilities of the investor.
