| Pictured is the west panel allegorical mural in the dome of the Kansas State Capitol in Topeka. The panel is named Peace and depicts a woman with a sheathed sword in her hand with Science on the left and Art on the right. All four allegorical murals in the dome were painted in 1902 by firm of Crossman and Sturdy from Chicago. Each scene was done on canvas and cut and fitted into the curved soffit. |
