Lago Welsperg is located in Val Canali ââ¬â one of the most stunning valleys in the Alps. The lake is not a natural basin: the Welsperg family wanted it to embellish the surroundings of the villa built in the nineteenth century as a hunting lodge. The lake is not the largest, but definitely one of the prettiest we saw in Trentino. Set in a nature of rare beauty, its waters reflect the peaks of the southern slope of the Cimerlo, a mountain massif with characteristic crests, pinnacles and bell towers, where Sass Maor and Cima Canali, elegant and majestic, stand out almost alone in the sky, in that play of light and clouds that constantly changes the color of these rocks. Surrounded by incredible scenery, from forests to the Pale di San Martino peaks, all of the the backdrops reflect on the water. The wonderful scenery of the woods and the Pale di San Martino is reflected in the waters of the small stretch of water. Primiero San Martino di Castrozza, Province of Trento, Italy.
