Burned and Decapitated Buddha Statue. Wat Chai Wattanaram buddhist temple, situated in the old capital of Thailand, Ayutthaya. Built in 1630 in the Khmer style, it was burned by the Burmese in 1767 when they destroyed the Thai capital. A UNESCO World Heritage Site
