In the mural pictured we see the left half of `Cake` by Gabriel McCool and a new mural painted over the right side of `Cake`. The new mural is Free Vzla by Alejandra Lara Camargo. The combined mural is part of the 42 murals project in Deep Ellum Texas. 42 Murals provides an opportunity for local, national, and international artists to showcase their talent through murals painted on many of the historic buildings in Deep Ellum. It was the brainchild of Scott Rohrman, the owner of 42 Real Estate, which since 2012 has bought 39 properties in Deep Ellum. Deep Ellum has a long history as a cultural epicenter for the arts, especially encouraging innovative expression and development in music and visual arts.
