Voronet Monastery is a medieval monastic complex built in the village of Voronet, today a component locality of the city of Gura Humorului. The monastery is located 36 km from the municipality of Suceava and only 4 km from the center of the city of Gura Humorului. It is one of the most valuable foundations of Stephen the Great (1457-1504). The church was built in 1488 in only 3 months and 3 weeks, which was a record for that time. The painting The Last Judgment, an extraordinary work, with an educational and artistic impact for viewers, is considered the most successful ensemble of feudal art in Moldova. This scene captures one of the most feared events in the Bible: the Apocalypse.
