A mountain Gorilla in Rwanda. It's part of the Susa Group, living on the foot slopes of mount Karisimbi, Virunga massif. Gorillas are primates like us, sharing 98 percent of our genes. When you look into their eyes you can really feel we are cousins. We really speak the same body language. The Susa family is the second largest in the world. It's one of the mountain gorillas families originally studied by Dian Fossey. The mountain gorilla is primarily vegetarian, with bamboo shots being their favorite diet, though they are known to eat 58 different plant species in the Virungas.
