View of the Schynige Platte cog railway, a mountain railway in the Bernese Oberland area of the Swiss Alps, that connects the town of Wilderswil, near Interlaken with the famous wildflower gardens of the Schynige Platte. It is also near Wengen, Grindelwald, and Mannlichen. Spectacular natural landscape is enjoyed, including forests, Alpine pastures and views of the Bernese Oberland. As the train gets higher there are splendid views of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau. Schynige Platte also has an alpine garden with over 600 species of plants, and many Swiss cows that graze the meadows all around.
