| Pinhel is a municipality, former Catholic bishopric and present Latin titular see in the central subregion of Beira Interior Norte, in Portugal. On the right you see the Torre do Relógio de Pinhel, located at the southwest end of the castle walls, close to the Town Hall and the Municipal Garden. He is dating from the year 1805, an indication engraved on the lintel of the access door to the tower and situated in a place where the primitive 15th century Clock Tower was erected. With a regular square plan, it features neoclassical civil architecture, reinforced by granite corners and a pyramidal crown. |
