The Duomo di Milano is the cathedral church of the Italian city of Milan, dedicated to Santa Maria Nascente (Saint Mary Nascent) and seat of the Archbishop of Milan, currently Cardinal Angelo Scola. The roofline dissolves into openwork pinnacles that are punctuated by a grove of spires, topped with statues that overlook the city. At the left the belfry of the Chiesa di San Gottardo in Corte and in the center the Velasca Tower.
