It has been mostly emptied in readiness for annual maintenance and has to be done over a number of days, after the tide has gone out each day. Some water remains and the signage DeepEnd is reflected in the water. The Victorian built sea pool is over 120 years old and to build it, the carboniferouss rock had to be blasted out. |
