Pictured is the Annunciation with the portrait of Vincenzo Cervini in the Church of San Biagio outside Montepulciano, Italy. The oil on canvas was attributed to an unknown painter active in Rome in the last quarter of the sixteen century. The painting is a workshop replica of the canvas by Marcello Venusti in 1551. The annunciation was the announcement by the archangel Gabriel to Mary that she would conceive and bear a son through a virgin birth and become the mother of Jesus Christ.
