| A woman house over 250 years.Vallo is an old manor, which was first mentioned in 1256. The farm is located in Valløby Sogn, Bjæverskov District, Region Zealand, Stevns Municipality. The main building was built in 1580-1586 by Mrs Mette Rosenkrantz, added in 1610-1640, rebuilt in 1721 by JC Krieger, again added in 1735-1738 by Lauritz de Thurah, again added in 1765 by GD Anthon and repair by Theodor Zeltner in 1863 -1866. In 1893 the castle burnt down because of an accident with a candle. It was rebuilt in 1894-1904 by Hans J. Holm. As the walls could be reused, the castle from the outside substantially in its old form. |
