Uqair is an ancient fort of Islamic origin, located in the Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. It is the first seaport in the ArabianGulf. It is alternatively spelled Al-'Uqair, Uqayr, and Ogair, all Latin transliterations of the same Arabic word
