Brassia is a type of epiphytic orchid mainly distributed in tropical regions of the Americas, ranging from low altitudes to moist forests at an altitude of 1500 meters. There are approximately 29 species in this genus, and their pseudobulbs are large and flattened, oval shaped, and usually have 1 to 3 leaves at the top. The leaves are linear or elongated elliptical lanceolate, very unique.The stem extends from the leaf sheath at the base of the false bulb, usually above the leaf surface, and has 3 to 12 flowers on the stem. The sepals are slender and narrow, some can reach up to 30 centimeters in length, hence the name spider orchid. The color of flowers is usually light green or yellow, sometimes with brown spots, wide lips, and a fragrance.
