| This is a Spring picture of the iconic Union Station Clock Tower located in Springfield, Illinois in Sangamon County. The building was designed by Francis T. Bacon, it is an example of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture, it features an iconic 110 foot high Clock Tower that is a replica of the original, the structure was built in 1896. This building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 27, 1978. This picture was taken on June 15, 2017. |
