| A small-scale mining site in Itogon town in Benguet province, Philippines suffered from a massive landslide brought by Typhoon `Ompong` international name: Mangkhut leaving several people dead and buried. Up to 40 people are still feared buried in the landslide in that area. The number of deaths in the Cordillera Administrative Region CAR due to several landslides rose to 60 and 61 missing persons. The Philippine National Police PNP said that the number of fatalities was expected to rise. |
