| The Habado carpenter is a breeding bird that lives in southwestern Costa Rica in southern Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana and Tobago. This woodpecker is found in the jungle and semi-open forests and in farmland. It nests in a hole in a dead tree or a large cactus. The clutch is of two eggs, incubated by both sexes, which leave the nest after 31-33 days. |
