Urgup - a city and district in the central part of Turkey, in the province of Nevsehir. Urgup belongs to the most ancient Asian cities. The peculiarity of the old part of Urgup, as well as other ancient cities of Cappadocia, in the fact that it is on the mountainside. The main attraction of the city are tuff caves that were artificially created by people to stay in them. The cave is carved deep in the volcanic tuff, is a major part of the building, and on a surface there are only built of stone facades buildings.
