Treasure flower (Gazania rigens) (syn. G. splendens), is a flowering plant in the family Asteraceae, which is a native to coastal areas of southern Africa. It is widely cultivated as an ornamental plant. It is a spreading, low-growing, half-hardy perennial with blue-grey foliage and brilliant yellow, daisy-like composite flowerheads throughout the summer. Orange-yellow flowers are however the most numerous, often with black spots at the base of the ligules. Numerous cultivars in various colors and shades have been developed.
